We went there for the Valentine's Day omakase experience. The food is good but honestly don't think I'll ever spend that much for this experience. I had better omakase experience that costs less. Tsuke Edomae is cheaper and much intimate experience. Also the seating arrangement is too crowded for my taste. We're almost like elbow to elbow with the next tables. Not to mention our clothes and hair is soaked with the smell of cooking food table side all night. If you want to try an unique dining experience definitely give this place a try. But for the amount of money you're going to drop, there are a ton of nicer places with better food IMO.

Seriously love this place, service and drinks are on point. Try the Nami for a cocktail and grab the D3 for dinner!

The vibe inside the restaurant is unreal! It was like walking into a completely different world. Our server was so accommodating and knew everything that there was to know about the entire menu. Not only that not a single glass was left empty or stomach for that matter. You are given so much broth and veggies, and the sauces are filled with flavor/umami. The non-alcoholic beverage was also delicious. The dinner was truly a culinary experience.

Came here for date night and we had a great time!! We started with oysters, a savory raw fish, and the pork gyoza and they were so delicious!! We got the Japanese hotpot next and it was ok, I wish the broth was a more flavorful, it was too bland for my liking. Luckily there were a lot of dipping sauces that I ended up putting in to make up for the lack of flavor. I liked the pork belly and scallops for meat but the chicken meatballs were not good, something about the flavor profile was bitter and off putting to me. I got sake to drink and it was delicious!! The server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu!!

Second time, as good as the first. Service is always stellar. The staff walk you through all of the options and how to make the perfect shabu-shabu. Appetizers are fun and fresh (the oysters were my favorite). We had 2 x D3 and I asked for guidance in a custom build. Scallops and shabu vegetables with a few sauces and beef meatballs. Delicious. Don't be shy, try things when you come and chat with the staff for a Michelin experience.

Made reservations and so glad I did ahead of the birthday celebration of my very good friend (who introduced me to Dipdip! Amongst other foodie places). It got packed! Our server Angie did well. I had D3 and my friend had Tonkotsu. We had Wagyu, yellow fin, Charred bone marrow, beef tongue, shrimp balls, duck fat candle, pork belly scallop! We killed it! Amazing as usual and very professional, attentive, friendly staff! Decorations were minimal but beautiful. Love this place! Standard is still high as ever Oh and Brandon is the sweetest! He remembered me and my son from our first visit. Had a lovely desert to clean our palates and wine for the birthday celebrant. Cheers

An upscale, intimate take on your typical hot pot experience! Made a reservation for two about a week in advance to ensure availability. Our server did a great job of breaking down both the food and drink menu on top of making some great recommendations. I ordered the D3 from the shabu-shabu portion of the menu plus the duck two ways add on, and would definitely recommend this if you want to get the whole Japanese hot pot experience. I enjoyed the assortment of perfectly cuts of pork, beef, and shrimp meatballs that I was able to pair with the different dips offered. The smoked duck breast was definitely a must try for both presentation and flavor. The dimly lit interior made for the experience all the more intimate and enjoyable. Overall, I loved trying this place out and it exceeded all expectations I had! I will say that the portion sizes are pretty small and the prices are a little high, so keep that in mind. I can see myself coming back here for a special occasion or date night in the future!

This place deserves well more than five stars. I brought my dad in about a month ago when he was visiting from out of state; mind you, my father is a very blue collar man. He rarely, if ever, goes to nicer restaurants and is the type to complain about the prices everywhere he goes. Well in short, I have rarely seen so much joy in this man's face, he loved every step of the experience. Going to DipDipDip with him will be a memory I will forever cherish. We came in to celebrate my sober anniversary and were greeted at the front desk with a card for me, signed by seemingly the whole staff. It was a kind touch. We were seated and the host was more than accommodating, seeing as I'm in a wheelchair, they made sure to put us somewhere easy to access and comfortable. The waiter, who I feel terrible for forgetting his name because he was an absolute gem and deserves all the praise in the world (white gentleman, probably early to mid 30s?), asked if we wanted to order any, "mocktails". He had obviously taken note that we don't drink. Made me feel so welcomed as he was obviously paying attention. Looking around, I have no other way to describe the ambiance other than having the same level of detail as Disneyland. From the moment we walked up to the front desk, we were immersed in the creative environment that was so intentionally created. And now the food. My god. Forgive me, I can't remember exactly what we got, I know we started with the oysters, amazing, and our main course experience included the beef meatballs and I believe all beef plate, which we cooked in the pot. Watching my dad light up with every bite quite literally still brings tears to my eyes upon thinking about it. The food was incredible. The only words we could utter back and forth were variations of, "dude this is amazing" and "oh my god". There was only one option for dessert, usually a good sign, and it was so unique and truly outstanding. To top it off, my typically frugal father didn't even bat an eyelash at the bill when he insisted on paying. He mentioned it being actually significantly cheaper than he expected and well worth it. Mind you, this man still complains about spending $10 for a decent cheeseburger. All in all, my father and I couldn't stop talking about our experience to anyone that would listen, for at least a few days. Even now, I jump at the chance to rave about DipDipDip to any and all. Bravo to every staff member and founder. Y'all have created something special. Literally the day after going with my dad, I happened to see the restaurant received a Michelin recognition. Congratulations, all. Well deserved. I hope to be back soon to show off the restaurant to as many people as I can.

My first impression of DipDipDip Tatsu-Ya unfortunately started off quite poorly. We had made a reservation and were told that they were running about 5 minutes behind because they needed to clean off some of the tables when we arrived. After waiting about 20 minutes, another party arrived and was seated within 5 minutes while my party was still waiting to be seated. It was a bit upsetting waiting nearly 30 minutes after a reservation time to be seated. On the other hand, the restaurant is beautiful inside and out. You can spot the restaurant from a mile away by its unique exterior in comparison to its neighbors. The inside environment is dim and intimate. The staff was very informative and was able to explain the menu in great detail. Each time a food item came out, they carefully explained how it is recommended to be eaten/prepared. I noticed how there were some aspects of the menu that needed to be clarified by the server when I was ordering. The menu doesn't list the broths that they offer, so you need to ask if you plan on ordering the Ozen shabu-shabu as well as what vegetables are included in the shabu vegetables. We were told that initially the broth will come off as a bit bland and will gain its flavor through the dipping of the meat and vegetables, but I honestly did not notice too much of a difference as I was content with how the tonkotsu broth was already. My favorite part of the meal was the small cup of ramen noodles they give you near the end of your meal to pour your broth over. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and I loved how it tasted with the broth. As for the dipping sauces, my favorite were the shiso chimichurri and the truffle sukiyaki which brought immense flavor to the meat and vegetables. We were informed that the menu had recently changed in July, so if you haven't been since then, come give them another visit. Although there was a small hiccup at the start of the night, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at DipDipDip Tatsu-Ya and will be coming back.
